Vince Vaughn signing up for Neighborhood Watch?

*Vince Vaughn has entered talks to join Ben Stiller’s
high-concept sci-fi comedy _Neighborhood Watch_.*

The film’s been stumbling along in a drawn-out pre-production
for a while, and takes Stiller into sci-fi terrain – a landscape
he’s hardly visited in his career thus far.

_Watch_ follows a group of dads who use the neighbourhood surveillance
scheme to get away from their families. However, they have to step up
when they uncover a plot to destroy the world.

The script comes from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who’ve got
proven credentials in the ‘male bonding comedy’ realm.

Vaughn and Stiller previously worked together on _Dodgeball: A True
Underdog Story_, and have made cameos in each others’ movies for
as long as we can remember.

The chance to see them paired-up as leads is definitely one of
_Neighborhood Watch_’s biggest selling points.
