Competition song ideas?

Need ideas for a competition/talent show sort of event. I have a few
months to learn a song and I don't know any current ones (My musical
taste is in the 70s and 80s) or any other song for the matter. My
voice is smooth/soul-ish. I can go really deep and g4 high. Besides
just singing I want to accompany on piano. Does anyone have any ideas?

Not a bad song idea at all! Forgot all about Elton John. I gotta keep
that song in the back of my head. Thanks
